What website maintenance actually involves
Most business owners think of a website as something you build once and leave running. In practice, a live site is more like a piece of commercial property — it needs regular attention to stay safe, functional, and performing well.
The software your site runs on — frameworks, server dependencies, any third-party integrations — receives security patches regularly. If those patches aren't applied, vulnerabilities accumulate. Why we bundle this, rather than sell hosting separately
Commodity hosting — GoDaddy, Bluehost, the cheapest shared server you can find — typically costs £5–£15/month. We don't compete on that price. Our monthly fee is higher because it includes everything that cheap hosting deliberately leaves out.
Those providers make their money by selling you the cheapest possible infrastructure and then upselling everything else separately: a security plugin here, a backup service there, a priority support add-on if you actually want someone to answer when something breaks. By the time you've added what you genuinely need, you're often paying more than £150/month anyway — and you're still doing the management work yourself.
We bundle hosting with maintenance because a neglected site on good infrastructure is still a neglected site. The work that keeps a site healthy — updates, monitoring, content, SEO — can't be cleanly separated from where it's hosted. Doing both under one roof means nothing gets overlooked, and you always have a single team responsible for the whole thing.

Is my site backed up?
- Yes — daily automated backups are included in the monthly plan. If something goes wrong (a bad update, an accidental deletion, a security incident), we can restore your site to a recent known-good state quickly. Backups are stored offsite so a server problem doesn’t take the backup with it.
What if I already have hosting elsewhere?
- If you’re already paying for hosting with GoDaddy, SiteGround, or another provider, we can migrate your site to our infrastructure as part of onboarding — usually at no extra cost. We handle the technical side and make sure there’s no downtime during the move. Once you’re on our hosting, you can cancel your existing plan.
